Under the auspices of the Ministry of Environment, Protection of Nature and Sustainable Development, FEDEV and partners will organize a two days training workshop for the Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) on “Plastic Pollution: Laws, Policies and Actions”. The event is scheduled for the 25th and 26th of July 2025 in Buea, SWR. CSOs working on Plastic pollution and CSOs taking part in the Global Plastic Treaty Negotiations (INCs) are invited to apply.
The workshop is designed to enhance the knowledge and skills of CSOs in plastic-related laws and policies, plastic waste management, plastic pollution, and environmental protection in general. The aim is to ensure that CSOs play a more impactful role in tackling plastic pollution, promoting a plastic-free society, enforcing the constitutional right to a healthy environment, and enhancing sustainable development in Cameroon. The event also aims to promote the contribution of Cameroonian CSOs to the global plastic treaty process by creating a collective voice and a common position in favour of an ambitious global plastic treaty at INC5.2.
